The Baltimore Ravens are this year’s Super Bowl champions!

Oh yeah! The Baltimore Ravens won against the San Francisco 49ers in this year’s Super Bowl. It’s a super close match and everybody thought that the 49ers will win, specially in the 4th round. If only there’s more time, maybe the 49ers defeated the Ravens. But there’s no enough time, so the Ravens won. That’s what my cousin Sarah told me and it’s just based on her wild guest and intuition, and hypothesis. Hahaha!

Anyway, that’s all that I want to share for now. To my friends Rommy, Stefy, Ian, and Clancy, you guys won on our bet! I owe you a buffet dinner next week ok? I really thought that the 49ers will win, but that’s just me and Sarah. We never expected that the 49ers are defeated and the Super Bowl is finally over.

Sad news for me and to all 49ers fans out there. I hope that the 49ers can still make it in the 48th Super Bowl, it not, then I’ll be really really really really really super sad. But if they still make it next year, I will give away my laptop and my iPhone 5! Hahahahaha!

Acer Finally Uses Ivy Bridge

This Ivy Bridge craze has been the headlines among tech news portals and has the talk of the town of the techy community. Intel Core i7-3770k is the new flagship CPU of Intel’s Ivy Bridge microprocessor line and fortunately Acer is one of the firsts to used it.

A lot of speed enthusiasts are excited this time because Acer is finally releasing their own Ivy Bridge powered desktops with price from $699.99 to $1,199.99.

How does this Ivy Bridge differ from the Sandy Bridge group? Nothing really as they have identical features except that the former uses less power and runs at cooler temperatures.

Raspberry Pi Now Available For Sale

The smallest computer so far called Raspberry Pi is now ready for delivery. Known to be as small as the credit card, this tiny computer plugs into a TV or keyboard, and can be used for word processing, games, and also plays high-definition video at a very cheap price of $35.

The delivery has delayed twice but now the manufacturers are confident that it’s more than ready. One of the reasons why it was delayed was because a wrong component was soldered onto circuit boards and the next one was due to a mix-up with testing.

Unfortunately, not everyone can place their orders this time because the supply is limited. Among the first ones to receive the invitation to place order are for those who already registered themselves and they could expect the item to be available on the 20th of April. There is also a limit on the purchase to one item per person.

“We are delighted to have the first batch of fully compliant products in our warehouse and to be able to invite the first wave of customers who registered for a Raspberry Pi to place their orders from this initial stock,” Glenn Jarrett, head of electronics marketing at distributor RS Components, said in a statement.

Malware Hidden Behind ‘Angry Birds Space’

Not because it is one of the most popular computer games these days, any version of Angry Birds is safe to download. The latest version that has been officially announced is the Angry Birds Space. A group of researchers discovered that some third party developers are offering the game to download but hidden behind it is a Tojan malware.

The infected versions of the game made their way through “unofficial Android App stores”. SophosLab, lead by Graham Cluley has been the whistle blower of this thing.

Whenever you get to download certain app or game in Google from Amazon for example, you will be checking a box marked with “Unknown sources”. It’s just an example though as Cluley didn’t specify the exact source.

If a client gets to download the infected game, this could most likely happen according to Cluley:

The Trojan horse, which Sophos detects as Andr/KongFu-L, appears to be a fully-functional version of the popular smartphone game, but uses the GingerBreak exploit to gain root access to the device, and install malicious code. The Trojan communicates with a remote website in an attempt to download and install further malware onto the compromised Android smartphone.

David Beckham Visits Former Filipino Street Children

Aside from the much awaited game, David Beckham who is a long time ambassador for UNICEF paid a visit to a UNICEF-supported children’s shelter in Manila and bonded with the former Filipino street children. . “UNICEF is doing incredible work for street children in Manila,” he said.

The entire boxing world, the Filipino communities in different countries and the rest of the Filipinos in the Philippines are now getting ready to witness the boxing fight of this year. Filipinos call him the “People’s Champ” and he is the first boxer in history to win ten world titles, the first to win in eight weight divisions, and the first to win the lineal championship in four different weight classes. December Marked The Lowest US Unemployment Rate For Four Years

2010 has ended and it is about time to evaluate how America was able to move on after the challenges of the recession. Jobs were lost to numerous citizens as well as businesses were closed due to bankruptcy. Then they elected a new president who promised to join everyone to move on to full recovery.

When President Obama stepped into office, he laid down several plans for the country’s economy and just recently, appointed new members in his cabinet who are much inclined in the business world. Having a job has been the main goal of most of the citizens right now to sustain the tough life. Lucky that America was still able to provide unemployment benefits to those who lost their jobs but as time goes by, their benefits are wearing off or calling it ending. They are demanding for an unemployment extension.

Now that is the first month of 2011, a look back was done and it was found it that the unemployment rate of the country lowered. This would definitely indicate something good. For a normal person this means that the country is recovering and would eventually go back to the time wherein money isn’t going to be a major problem. For economists, it doesn’t indicate a total good thing. It lowered due to several reasons like the workforce is also lowering down. About 260,000 adults dropped out of the labor force for various reasons, and were no longer counted as unemployed by the government.
